Even more aquisitions and other announcements from ADV Films. They seem to have a big news story on DBZNY all the time don't they? Anyway, here's what's up this time:

Sailor Moon

ADV Films' panel at Otakon announced the aquisition of the first two seasons of Sailor Moon. This isn't just a transfer of the existing episodes, the episodes will be uncut in Japanese with English subtiitles. ADV says each season will be featured in a special box set. No release date was given, but ADV says production on the first season has begun.

Orphen

Season two of Orphen was aquired. Not much information was given, other than the title, "Orphen : The Revenge".

Saint Seiya

This was previously announced but was talked about further, mainly details such as the storyline.

Makoto Shinkai's : "The Voices of a Distant Star"

This was announced on Thursday, but was publicly spoken about at Otakon. The Voices of a Distant Star is quite unique, viewers say it's incredible and brilliant to say the least. The unique thing about this film is that Makoto Shinkai did everything for the film except sound, music, and voice acting. According to ADV Films' press release, Makoto single-handedly wrote, directed, edited, and animated the film using a Power Macintosh 7600/120 computer and several consumer and professional design and animation software programs. The North American debut of this anime movie will be a DVD only release.

Also announced as a new set for Gasaraki. It's going to be a Premium Paul Champagne Perfect Collection like the Evangelion one, but ADV is hyping it as something more.
