Archon:
One of the best combat masters in the game .

I arm mine with an agoniser, Splinter Pistol, Trophy rack, Plasma Grenades, Shadow Field, and Combat Drugs. But, I really only use an Archon vs Tyranids or in 1500+ point games. If I am running the Archon with a unit, stick them with a pack of wyches at least he can Fleet of Foot with them. Also, a Punisher Lord with Punisher and Tormentor helm with the normal gear is a very effective Lord. Here is one of my conversions for the model:



Dracon:
I call them mini me. It is a small archon but less potent. I usually use them in 1500 pt games and under. It is overkill using the archon, plus you save points toward one more incubi, coincidence i think not. Dracon's are more suited for the retinue.


Haemonculus:
Truly the most underestimated HQ in the game. Quite Frankly the cheapest as well.
I usually take 3 as a HQ choice. Put one in with the Archon or Dracon. One or two with the grotesques or Raider Squads. If I use a webway portal army, this is who gets one webway portal. Arm them with desructors and scissorhands and the are a great addition to any squad. I also have one of these on a reaver jetbike, I find it easier to use the destructor that way. I also use a Haemmie on a Skyboard and jetbike. Here is a quick an easy conversion for the Skyboard.


Retinue:
A great leader has to have warriors to protect him from mon keigh and others from within. I recommend 5 incubi and maybe a few warriors,
2 with splinter cannons. But, warriors are easy to kill, I prefer stick to just Incubi. Never I repeat Never give an Incubi an "upgrade" Why take away 2-3 power weapon attacks for more points so you can shoot.

Note: Any Respectable HQ w/ Retinue should be mounted in a raider which has a
dark lance. Don't make them walk, they are too slow. Dark Lance for busting open a transport, let them assault what is left. Disintergrators often leave you out of charge range.
