I like to give my Dark Eldar Lord an Agoniser, Trophy Rack-it don't take long to get one, splinter pistol. For large battles Combat drugs just for fun. When I am being devious I will give him a Jetbike or even a Skyboard.
His Retinue depending on size of the battle consists of 5-6 Incubi in a Raider.
A second HQ with depending on battle size, I usually play large games. 3 haemonculus with
2 Destructor w/ Scissorhand, one Stinger w/ Scissorhand. Possibly a crucible for those sneaky psykers.
I used to like grotesques, only 6+ weapons affect them! I have a lot of them, but in 4th Edition you cannot use screening tactics. But if you put your Lord with them, then
you are good to go. Also, mount them in a raider for Slave Raid missions.
I take a small squad of Mandrakes to make my opponent wonder. They are good on marine squads, especially devastators. 5+ Unmodified save.
I take 7-10 Wyches w/ blasters for numbered armies, with wych weapons and plasma grenades are a real must. A succubi upgrade with an agoniser is also a must. I mount them on a raider with a disintegrator and maybe a horrorfex.
I put my warp beast pack right behind cover for counter-assault, or try to get a quick charge out of a portal, remember to always fleet of foot. You'd be surprised how far that they can move, I know my opponent is. Then let them tear in my enemy. Then follow up into cover or lock another squad. Keep Them backed up!!
The warriors are relatively easy. Sniper squads with 2 Dark Lances 10 man is cheap and effective. A big warrior squad with a few special weapons to
plant them in the middle and support them with everything you can. This will eat up a lot of your opponents time. Take a Sybarite with poisoned blades for backup.
Raider squads coming out of a portal with splinter cannons, blaster and a Sybarite With poisoned blades or the occasional Agonizer
Raiders with Disintegrators/DL mix.
I take 3 reavers 2 with blasters, or a larger squad with one of them is a succubi. I give her haywire grenades, goblet of spite and a power weapon with a tormentor helm.
Use them depending on the Combat Drugs, they are all right in H2H but not good enough.
I sometimes take Hellions just to hunt people down. They can support wyches, warp beast.
take A succubus with an agonzer give them haywire grenades if armor is going to be abundant. Also I consider a blaster for vehicles. Hit and run is ok, but not that useful.
I tailor my armor the most Depending on opponent in my heavy support. I like one of each usually but on occasion I get my ire up and try to sneak a few tricks in.
Scourges flat out suck, so I tend to use Talos out of WWP or a few Ravagers with 1 DL and 2 Dissies. |
