BATTALIONS OF FEAR
"Battalions Of Fear" is the first Blind Guardian album after two good demos
(one under the name of LUCIFER’S HERITAGE).
It’s a very good debut album, though it doesn’t really sound like the true Blind
Guardian style yet.
This is the album where Hansi’s voice is at it’s worst and it’s also probably the
album where Marcus makes the more guitar solos ever.
The highlights of "Battalions" are surely the first four songs except
for "Trial By The Archon".
The song "Run For The Night" is a pretty good speed song, but it sounds a lot
better in the live version on "Tales From The Twilight World".

FOLLOW THE BLIND
After "Battalions Of Fear" Blind Guardian did a great step ahead helped also
by the presence of "master" Kay Hansen (Helloween, Gamma Ray) in some songs.
The great choruses that make the bards so great begin to show, but still they’re
not so marked.
The album stars great with the best song "Banish From Sanctuary" and then gets a
little worse, but still good enough.
The songs are all very fast and in Helloween style. Another great song is the one
on which there is the duet between Hansi and Kay, it’s called "Valhalla".
The last two songs are two cover. The first one is "Don’t Break The Circle",
a great speed song from Satan. The second one is the great cover of "Barbara Ann"
from Beach Boys that appears also on "The Forgotten Tales".
NICE JOB!

TALES FROM THE TWILIGHT WORLD
"Tales From The Twilight World" is wonderful!!!!!!!
The atmosphere is incredible. All the songs are masterpieces except for "Altair IV".
"Welcome To Dying", "Lost In The Twilight Hall" ( with Kay at the voice")
and the opener "Traveler In Time" are great speed songs. The masterpiece is certainly
the great "The Last Candle" which is Speed Metal at his best.
"The Lord Of The Rings" is the first ballad for Blind Guardian and is really great.
"Tommy Knockers" is taken from Steven King books and it’s another masterpiece.
BLIND GUARDIAN are finally mature!!

SOMEWHERE FAR BEYOND
Just a little step back from the previous album. The songs are still great, but
the sound is not the best and the atmosphere is not as magic.
The opening song is really great, though I don’t really like the way Hansi’s voice
sounds. "Theater Of Pain" is just the worst Blind Guardian song
ever and the lyrics are certainly not the best either. "The Quest For Tanelorn"
isn’t very good too even though there’s Kay at the guitar.
The highlights are certainly the two Bard’s songs and "Ashes To Ashes" which is the
darkest BG song ever.
It’s still a great album, but not as good as "Tales...".

Well this is the best live-CD I’ve ever heard .
All Blind Guardian songs played live are just great.
I won’t tell you anything about the songs because you all know it (I hope).
The japanese fans are absolutely great!

IMAGINATIONS FROM THE OTHER SIDE
After three years the bards from Krefeld are back with a new studio album that
it’s a little different from the previous ones, but the magic it’s incredible
and it’s even more satisfying than "Tales From The Twilight World".
The album just stars great with the title track that has a really strange mood,
then there’s the song that in my opinion is the real masterpiece of all the album
"I’m Alive" a speed song that shows the most powerful Blind Guardian ever.
The song that follows is another beautiful ballad pretty much in the
"The Bard’s Song" style. "The Script For My Requiem", "Born In A Morning Hall"
and "Another Holy War" are three fantastic speed songs and "Bright Eyes" and
"And The Story Ends"
really get you higher than the sky.
These Guardians are just the BEST!

THE FORGOTTEN TALES

NIGHTFALL IN MIDDLE-EARTH
Well what can I say about this album? It’s just the best one I’ve ever heard!!!!!
Blind Guardian with "Nightfall..." have taken their skills to an even higher level
that I think it will be possible to match by the Bards themselves.
"Nightfall.." has got everything a great album needs. Powerful songs, like
"Into The Storm" or "The Curse Of Feanor"; speedy songs like the first single
"Mirror; Mirror" and the incredible masterpiece "When Sorrow Sang" and then a
fantastic ballad called "The Eldar".
The song that really stands out of the other, though they are all beautiful, is
the last one called "A Dark Passage"
that really shows what Hansi can do with his voice. Another thing that really
shows what an impressive work they did is the perfection reached in all the 11 songs
and the respective 11 intros that are able to fill the air with magic.
The lyrics are all Tolkien inspirated.
Well my suggestion is: BUY IT!!!!
