The Brotherhood is a very large religious organization, almost like the catholic church we are used to, though this one controls the solar system's largest human army. The Brotherhood is led by the Cardinal and under him by the Kuria, a sort of parliament. The Cardinal is probably the most powerful living creature in the solar system and the heretics dread the mere mention of his name. The entire Brotherhood is organized into directorates. Since the Brotherhood is the most powerful human organization in the solar system, it is also trying to make the megacorporations follow their will, wich is very hard to manage. The Brotherhood is also trying to force the other corporations to boycott the high-tech corporation of Cybertronic. Cybertronic is seen by the Brotherhood as the evil ambassador on the human worlds. This is becuse of Cybertronic's use of forbidden technology like supercomputers and thinking machines used in combat. All technology has a large risk of being tainted by evil and run wild, but somehow Cybertronic has manage to avoid that, which the Brotherhood just sees as a proof of its connection to the darkness. The people obey the law of the Brotherhood. There is no alternative. |
