The Freaks

Never let it be said that being a supervillain is easy.

On the surface, it may seem to have it's pros. You can very quickly and easily get rich and (in)famous. You can make a fortune off just blowing up the one bank. You can menace public authority figures who other people are limited to writing nasty editorials about. You can do what you like. You can say what you like. You can use your superpowers to blow up ugly contemporary sculptures and claim that it's a part of the job.

And female supervillains usually wear more revealing outfits.

Unfortunately, there are drawbacks. The main one is superheroes. They're everywhere. Every city has at least one team out to preserve justice by thumping evildoers. In Grogginghatten, the superhero capital of the world, it seems that every day a new group of destructive amateurish clods crawls out of the woodwork to try (badly) to put down evil.

And even then, there's the problem that some people just aren't suited to supervillainy. They gain some cool powers by accident and decide to use them to get rich quick. Unfortunately, they often don't stop to think that they, well, just might not be suited to the job.

This is one such group. Drawn together by a "Help wanted" ad, the Freaks (As one of them decided they would be called; they can't remember which one now) set out to become rich and famous the easy way. Unfortunately, not one of them stopped to think if there might have been a better career choice. In fact, two of them gave up perfectly good day jobs to do this.

For some strange reason, Sizor, The Nihilistic Gardnder and The Evil Guy From The 23rd Century have, in their new professional supervillain guises, taken to dressing up as Mexicans. Minerva is considering geting a new team.
