BLIMPO WARRIOR

What am I doing? Why am I doing a review of my own game? That's because this is not a review. This is more like a crappy article on my game, because I think It's cool and deserves it. Blimpo Warrior was a little pet project of mine, I just wanted to learn a little about making VERGE games. That's why this game has crappy graphics. But then I found out that the simplicity made it super easy to make a lot of towns, caves, castles and crap.. So I tried to make the biggest world I could (The world of Blimpo Warrior has at least 150 maps.) And I did make a huge world.

Then I saw Sharkey's Utopia and got inspired to make crappy entity enemies and it took me one day to program the "event" that makes them work. After that, I just copied/pasted the "event" on any map with enemies and changed the values so different enemies hurt you differently. BTW: The entity monsters (robots) in Sharkey's Utopia are a lot better than mine and they explode on contact! Wow! Cool!

Then I played Phantasy Star 1 and I decided to parody it too. After a long and tedious walk you reach the space port in Dungo and travel to 4 other planets and a giant space ship. Wow.

The original idea for Blimpo Warrior wasn't mine. A friend of mine called José Eugenio invented the Furballs for our 4th grade field day team name (the team was called The Furballs) and soon we were both making games about them (the furballs, Couch potatoes who love wathcing TV all day, playing games and eating Hot-Dogs...). The games where more like articles on a Nintendo Power magazine, we drew maps, items, enemies, heroes, stories and endings to our own games. One of those games was Blimpo Warrior (the first one created by Jose Eugenio and the sequels by me) and it was a Dragon Warrior Parody with Joe the Furball.
I chosed Blimpo Warrior (out of the many Furball and non-furball games we made) because it was my freaking favorite RPG (of the ones we made). I'm kinda sad that the video game wasn't as cool as it could be, but I'm not a verge programmer or anything.
Sorry for the MANY typos and spelling errors.

The Furballs were originally four:
Joe: He was the leader, an orange furball (for a lot of time I tought the furballs where white and kinda looked better like that, not anymore) with the letter J on his shirt (that's missing on the Verge game and Jose Eugenio would be really mad.) He was a couch potatoe (like them all) and leader of the group. You play Joe in Blimpo Warrior.
Barry: A blue Furball with glasses. I dont really know a lot about this guy. Sorry. In Blimpo Warrior you can meet him in Nok Castle. He had a B on his shirt.
Harry: An orange Furball with lots of black hair (on the top of his head). He had a H on his shirt. You can see him in the Giant Hotel in the Tropical Island on Blimpo Warrior.
Paranoid: Everyone's favorite. This blue Furball is.. well.. paranoid. he thinks everyone is following him. He's always trembling with fear and runs real fast (in the opposite direction of the enemy). In Blimpo Warrior, he helps you as an NPC. He has a P on his shirt!
Those are the original Furballs. These are some of the new:
Zack: Joe's little brother (based on Jose Eugenio's little brother), he's really dirty and annoying. He has a Z on his shirt and is orange, but looks brown (because of the dirt).
Gaky: Who invented this one? Me? Jose Eugenio? I dont know, but he has goggles and is blue. Has a G on his shirt..
Jomes: (Jose Eugenio wrote:) "An (sic) poet who hates music!" He has a "V" design on his shirt (not J, because that would be Joe) and a bandana.
Tom: Who invented this guy? He wears a suit.
Mack: Not really an official Furball. He likes sports. When Jose Eugenio (the Couch-master) realized I invented this guy he became violent. I ont think he likes it.
Bad Guys:
No Halo: An orange Furball, he uses a slingshot. Has a halo with a X mark on it.
Bean Wonders: You can see these on Blimpo Warrior. These are beans that walk. Some have wings and fly.. those are called Bean Wonders.. normal ones are just beans.
Fryer: Super Mario Bros. 2's Spark, but with fire.
Fur Punk: Crap bad guy I invented (I suck). He is dressed in prision clothing.
Locusa: A crap eye-ball monster I invented. He looks like those eyeballs in Zelda 2. the ones that close their eyes when they stop and you cant hurt them while they do that.
Blimpo: He's the Blimpo Lord in Blimpo Warrior (Instead of the Dragon Lord.. haha. ha.). he's almost always the bad guy in Jose's Furball games. He has a Son Blimpo Jr. I think he has the letter B on his shirt. He's a really big bunny.
Other:
Furry: based on another friend's hamster, this guy sometimes appears alongside the furballs even if they live in different dimensions.
Bollo: Furry's older brother (based on mine?)
Garry: Bollo and Furry's little brother. (based on mine?)
Rambo: He's Wambo in Blimpo Warrior (because Rambo would sound stupid). He's my real-life dog.. In Blimpo Warrior his fur looks too dark, he's actually a blond cocker spaniel.

Uh.. that's all. I think. Did I forget something? No? Then I will write more about the Furballs, Furry and other characters I (and Jose Eugenio) invented later in other pages.
The Furballs are Jose Eugenio's idea (and some stuff is mine), if you steal anything, he will get really pissed and he does get pissed...really pissed Pissed.
