Story
A megaphone-wielding, fortune-telling cat riding on top of a giant stuffed Mog - it could only happen in Final Fantasy. As if that wasn't bizarre enough, Cait Sith is not actually a cat at all but Reeve, the double-crossing manager of Shinra, "Cait Sith" being merely his remote-controlled body. At first it seems as though Cait is merely acting on Shinra's behalf, but when he sacrifices his stuffed body in order to deliver the Black Materia to AVALANCHE, the party have to rethink their opinion of him. We still think he's evil though - after what he says to Aeris and Cloud in the Temple of the Ancients (and in front of Tifa!), we'll never trust him again.

Fighting style
Despite having a megaphone for a weapon, Cait Sith's attacks aren't based around shouting at the enemy - instead he clobbers them with it, meaning that in order for his attacks to be effectual he must fight in the front line. Actually this isn't a bad position for him, as, like Barret, he's got decent HP levels and can be equipped with a Cover Materia to allow his stuffed form to soak up the damage. Alternatively, as his attacks aren't that brilliant, you could give him lots of healing Materia and make him the party's doctor. He's quite a good summoner too.

Cait Sith's Limit Breaks
Note: Cait Sith only has two Limit Break techniques.
Level 1: Dice - Cait Sith throws dice onto the ground to determine the damage done to his enemy. This Limit grows more powerful throughout the game, so more damage can be caused. The "safe option" of Cait Sith's Limits.
Level 2: Slots - This slot-machine based Limit actually has seven different outcomes. Most are beneficial, but a couple can be fatal.
3 Stars: Mog Dance - HP and MP is restored to the party and abnormal statuses are cured, thanks to a tiny Mog.
3 Crowns: Toy Soldier - Miniature soldiers attack all enemies.
3 Bars: Summon - Cait Sith summons a random monster. Since most summons are elemental, this can win or lose you the battle depending on the elemental strengths and weaknesses of your opponents. For example, you wouldn't want him to use Ifrit against Red Dragon, but Leviathan on the other hand...
3 Mogs: Transform - Cait Sith doubles in size and power, but his allies disappear until the end of the battle and don't gain any experience from the fight.
3 Hearts: Lucky Girl - All characters have a hit percentage of 100 - in other words, they can't miss! Now's the time to use those "instant death" attacks.
2 Face Panels, 1 Bar: Death To All - You don't want this one! The whole party bites the dust, kicks the bucket, cashes their chips - i.e. it's Game Over!
3 Face Panels: Instant Victory - Complete the Cait Sith face, on the other hand, and the roles are reversed - all your enemies are instantly killed. You'll hardly ever get it though.
