Daimon Darkfang...

My life began in a small isolated village near Maelshyve. We followed the way of the Dhe’nar, our community learning of the survival of others after the Great Fall only in the last millenia. Kastoria and I were both borne into the Temple caste. Our rivalry knew no bounds even as children. Showing each other up as often as possible during our lessons in Dhe’nar society. We fought our first magical duel against each other, both of us falling unconscious from the energies we tried to level at each other in an attempt to prove our own strength.

It was repeated several more times as we aged, and everytime neither of us could gain advantage over the other. Our rivalry fueled our ambitions. The constant attempts to be stronger then each other made us excel compared to most. We both were accomplished in the Arcane arts and constantly exploring our limits, and finding we had none. Often were the times we went to an extreme, nearly destroying ourselves trying to harness power far beyond our abilities.

We soon began to chafe at the restrictions placed on us as members of the Temple caste and chose to follow enlightenment outside the community. We both requested to expand our horizons on the same day, and the elders felt we should be teamed as a pair since our motives followed each others so frequently. We traveled the length of the Turamzzyrian Empire, finding little in the way of knowledge in the blind arrogance of its people. Our superiority was fact, their’s an illusion created by numbers as opposed to power.

We continued onward, following a path to a town on the edge of Darkstone Bay. Wehnimer’s Landing held many intriguing possibilities. The existence of a community of Dhe’nar, and many practitioners of a variety of disciplines made it a wealth of learning opportunities. Our rivalry continues, though the long period of being together has changed it from one of bitter jealousy to attraction. We are engaged, and if we both survive the engagement, we will be married when we are accepted by the Dhe’nar society in Landing.
