How to snap Mew!

Pokémon Snap!

Pokemon Snap! (for N64) has 63 Pokemon to take pictures of. And guess what!? Mew's one of them! Mew has it's very own secret level! I'm here to teach you how to get him.

In the game, there are 6 "signs" of other Pokemon, that come in the form of natural structures. The six Pokemon signs you need to find are Kingler Rock, Pinsir Shadow, Koffing Smoke, Cubone Tree, the Mewtwo constellation, and Mt. Dugtrio. Take lots of pics from different angles. For whatever reason, sometimes Prof Oak likes a certain shot but hates one exactly the same.

How to Get the 6 Signs

In the Beach Course, after you pass Pikachu's surfboard (on the right side of track), look to the left side and you'll see a rock formation that looks like Kingler. Snap a pic and it'll display "?", but Prof Oak will call it Kingler Rock.

In the Tunnel Course, proceed through until you see a Pikachu by a giant egg. Lure him over to the egg by throwing a path of apples between the two. Then play your pokeflute and Pikachu will shock the egg. Zapdos will hatch and shock a generator. This will turn on a light, and that crazy pile of scrap metal will create Pinsir Shadow.

In the Volcano Course, as soon as you start the course, look left towards a small volcano spewing smoke. Throw a few pesterballs into the center. The purple smoke that comes out will now look like a Koffing.

In the River Course, after the section of Metapods in the trees, you'll see smoke coming from a giant purple thing. Now, throw a ton of pesterballs at the thing. It'll pop up to reveal a Vileplume. The powder that looks like smoke will disapear and reveal a tree that looks like Cubone!

In the Cave Course, when you reach the pond with a Weepinbell jumping around it, turn 180 degrees and there will be four shimmering jewels sticking out of the wall in a corner. The pictures reveal it's the constellation Mewtwo.

Lastly, in the Valley Course, when you start, continue looking straight ahead and you'll see a mountain with three humps. Take some pictures once you hit the curve. It's Mt. Dugtrio!

Now the 7th course, Rainbow Cloud, is available. All the signs you took pictures of are visible as constellations.

How to Snap Mew

Mew initially appears in a green psychic bubble that you can't take pictures threw. Hit him three times with pesterballs. This will break his bubble, but he'll be right back in a stronger, yellow one. Hit the yellow bubble three times. This will break it, and shortly after, Mew will be outside his bubble. If you're not quick, Mew will fly away and go back into his bubble. It'll only take 1 hit to pop the bubble now. For the best pics (not of Mew's back), throw a pesterball at him when he's out of his bubble. He'll turn around, then play the pokeflute for a killer pic. Mew's picture is automatically worth 2500 bonus points. If you get Mew facing forward, you get 1500 for pose.
