The Royal Family of Amber may appear large, but considering that Oberon, once King of Amber, has been around for millenia, it is more surprising that there are so few children. One may be descended from any of the following Amberites, with one or two exceptions.

4.1 Dworkin and Oberon
Dworkin|Oberon
- Dworkin
- A frail, hunch-backed old man, mad as a hatter. Dworkin is said to be the creator of Amber. It was his desire and his blood that inscribed the Pattern. Whether he was mad before Amber's creation, or after is long since forgotten. Dworkin is rarely seen now, if ever. Do not let his appearance deceive you, for he is perhaps the most powerful Amberite in existance, for he was long a Lord of Chaos before Amber.
- Oberon
- Dworkin's son, and once King of Amber. During the last war with Chaos, Oberon sacrificed himself to repair the Pattern, which had been damamged by the Blood of one of the Family. He was not a nice man, though not overly cruel either. He did things for what he thought was best, whether they actually were or not. He is father to the Princes and Princesses of Amber, and thus grandfather to most of the characters in play.

4.2 King Random and Queen Vialle
Random|Vialle
- Random
- Of all of Oberon's children, the last who thought he would gain his father's throne was Random. Smaller and younger than his brothers, he often suffered at their hand. He became something of a practical joker, and a black sheep of the Family. But after the Chaos War. The Unicorn chose him as King. Since then, he has ruled with a fairer hand than Oberon, and has matured greatly.
- Vialle
- Random's wife, a blind woman from Rebma. During Random's earlier years, he impregnanted Morganthe, daughter to Queen Moire, but ran off. Morganthe, in her despair, killed herself. It was Moire's judgement that Random marry Vialle, who would gain much standing from such an arrangement. As it turned out, the two fell deeply in love with each other. Vialle is calm and quiet, a sculptress of amazing skill.

4.3 The Princes
Benedict|Bleys|Brand|Caine|Corwin|Eric|Gerard|Julian
- Benedict
- The epitome of the warrior. Protector of Amber. There are none who are as skilled as Benedict in the ways of war and combat. He often travels into Shadow to fight wars, to keep a keen edge on his skill. None have beaten him in a fair fight. He speaks only when he feels the need to, and then is blunt and to the point. Every move he makes seems calculated. He is fearless and humourless.
- Bleys
- The dashing rogue. Skilled with sword, glib of tongue, a charmer to the end. He is extravegant, he is flamboyant, to him, life is but an adventure. He has studied under Dworkin, but of the three red-heads, he is perhaps the weakest at Magic. Never underestimate him, and make sure before giving him your total trust.
- Brand
- Another of the red-heads. Villain and traitor to Amber. In an insane attempt to create an entire universe with a pattern of his own, he stained the Primal Pattern, and nearly destroyed all Amber and all of Shadow. He died carrying Deirdre into the Abyss, ending the war between Amber and Chaos.
- Caine
- Manipulative and underhanded. Caine is one not to be trusted. He has always done things that ensured he would have the upper hand. And yet, despite all this, he was a hero in the Chaos War, shooting Brand with arrows, sending him into the void. While on a trade mission to the Golden Circle, Caine was shot and killed.
- Corwin
- Obsessive and possessing of a stamina unparalleled. No matter how battered he is, how beaten or maimed, he'll come back. At one time his brother Eric burned his eyes out, and he grew them back, surprising all in the Court. Never count Corwin out, even if you are sure he is dead. With Corwin, you can never be sure.
- Eric
- Brother and rival of Corwin, and once Regent and King of Amber. No man was a finer maneuverer in the Family Game. Eric knew who to get on his side, and how to keep them there. When the war with Chaos began, Eric died defending Amber from the armies of Chaos as they attacked the Castle. With his dying breath, he cursed Chaos, preventing them their access to the Realm of Amber, and allowing the Amberites to gather themselves and counter-attack.
- Gerard
- The strongest man in the universe. None can surpass Gerard's strength. He is a man who can hold a two hundred pound man by his foot with one hand over a cliff. And this without even breaking a sweat. He is a man who can take solid punches and kicks from an Amberite that would break an ordinary man in half, and he won that fight. Besides Benedict, Gerard is perhaps the most loyal to Amber, and protective of his brothers and sisters. He is a slow man to anger, but watch out if his ire has risen.
- Julian
- Defender of Forest Arden. The only way to Amber by anything but boat is by Forest Arden. By himself, he is outclassed by most of his brothers and sisters. However, he is rarely alone. He has a towering horse by the name of Morgenstern, a host of Rangers, and a horde of Hellhounds, nevermind his nearly invulnerable white armour. A cold man, given more to being blunt than to care for someone's feelings. He takes his duty and his life quite seriously.

4.4 The Princesses
Deirdre|Fiona|Flora|Llewella
- Deirdre
- Warrior of Amber, as beautiful as skilled. She was not one to take a backseat to many. She fought in the front lines against the army of Chaos, but fate would have her captured by the traitor Brand. As he fell into the Abyss, he grabbed hold of her, dragging her into the void.
- Fiona
- Small and sharp-tongued. Sister to Brand and Bleys, she is by far the most knowledgeable and skilled in the ways of Magic. None can rival her will, not for long. Her knowledge of Trumps likely unsurpassed by all save her teacher, Dworkin. She is sly and brilliant, and though can be helpful, can just as likely stab you in the back.
- Flora
- Flormiel, the most beautiful. Alluringly breathtaking, and knowing quite well that she is. She prefers to avoid combat, though her Irish Wolfhounds and hand grenades ensure that even the thought rarely happens. She always seems to know which side of the fence to sit on. The least unassuming of all the Family, and thus likely one of the most dangerous.
- Llewella
- Daughter to Queen Moire and King Oberon. Fair Llewella remains outside the Family Game. She prefers her home of Rebma to that of Amber, and rarely visits. As such, little is known of her. She remains friendly with all of the Family, and has no quarrel with any of them.

4.5 Others of Note
Dalt|Kristoff|Martin|Merlin|Zachary
- Dalt
- Offspring to Oberon, who raped his mother. Dalt's tragic childhood has left him embittered and violent. His sole purpose is to destroy Amber and everything it stands for. Though dangerous, he has thus far proven to be no more than an annoyance for Benedict and Julian.
- Kristoff
- Newly made Guard of the Royal Dungeons. He sits at the head of the Dungeons, to offer lamps and talk to all who come. Much like his predecessor, Roger, Kristoff is content to perform his duty and in the meanwhile writes stories of dragons and starships. He is amiable, if a bit quiet.
- Martin
- Son to Random, he was the child born to Morganthe in Rebma. He did not know his father at all until the Times of Trouble came, when he was unwittingly used to stain the Primal Pattern. He has since gone from a quiet, pastoral lad to a thoroughly modern cyberpunk, with mohawk and cyberjack in his neck.
- Merlin
- Son of Corwin, he eventually became Emperor of the Courts of Chaos, though not of his own choice. He has since spent much time in the Courts, and has kept things amicable between Amber and the Courts. He appears older than his father now, having spent centuries on the throne of Chaos, with dark beard and wise eyes.
- Zachary
- Son to Random and Vialle. Though young, he has taken a great interest in all things of Amber and Shadow. The Library of Castle Amber has grown greatly, and now houses thousands of books and references, including leather bound copies of both Corwin's and Merlin's chronicles. Zachary is the Castle Librarian, and if information is desired, he is the one to see. He has his father's roguish good looks, and his mother's calm temperment.
