It's time for the one, the only... The Charmy Bee KiSS Set! (Well, the only one made by me, anyway...) Here's my tribute to the world's most precocious 6-year-old humanoid bee-creature. If you have played the game "Sonic Heroes", then Charmy has what appears to be severe ADD and a gambling problem (just kidding. Sort of.). Before SH, there was Knuckles Chaotix (for the 32x), which is a really FUN game with great music; give it a go if you ever get the chance! In Chaotix, Charmy had unlimited flying power, despite toting around one of his friends all the time (in Chaotix, players were connected by a magical band). He also put in an appearance in the Knuckles Comic series by Archie. He wasn't really a major character until his final appearance in the Chaotix Caper saga (#13, #14 and #15). I won't spoil anything, but it was quite a touching trilogy and still remains my favorite (and not just because it centered on my favorite character!). Charmy is also in the British Fleetway "Sonic the Comic" series, and apparently has quite a different personality! ------ Notes: ------ This had been in the works for a long time, but I was never really sure how to go about it. I decided to make something a bit more interactive, like adding backgrounds, props and poses. Charmy here is pretty poseable, you can sit him down, stand him up, whatever. It's all there on the interface. You can also change his facial expression and hands. But best of all, being the loquatious bee-person he is, Charmy talks to you depending on what he's wearing, the backdrop and props he's holding. There's also a smattering of random phrases that he'll say when you press the talk button. As for the wardrobe, this was sort of tough- I had to make his outfits move with the various poses, and hang in his closet (set 2). I decided to dump snap-to in favor of just plain in/out commands, that worked in quite a few map/unmap commands. I just hope it all works out okay! Sorry if you prefer snap-to, I just couldn't get it to work properly with the poses. Then again, this is still a work in progress and I just might figure out how to implement it. Charmy is young, so I guess the wardrobe reflects that. His kindergarden uniform was based on the Japanese style- with the bright yellow visibility helmet and wee blue smock. I always thought that was a cute thing, so I drew one up for him. He also has a Catholic school-style plaid uniform, but this is just because I drew one for my Cream and Amy Rose sets, and I wanted to keep up the tradition. To me, Charmy always came off as the type to take care of his things, so his clothes are neatly arranged on hangers below the set or in his closet (in set 2). If you want to rehang stuff, you can move the clothes to the hanger and they will hang instantly (clothes also instantly move back to hanging position as soon as they're out() of the doll's bounding box), or just use "reset position" and that should work the same way. Also, if you must use "Restore All Positions", undress the doll by hand first, or else some items won't hang properly. This is a bug that I am still trying to fix. I say this to give an overview of how everything SHOULD work- if you encounter an error, please notify me of it! I can't fix anything unless I know it's broken, right? Also, feel free to send in pointers, tips, grievances, whatever. Now, for mostly my reference, and fun for you too, here is a complete list of sets, props, interactions and outfits.

---- Sets ---- Set 1: The Living Room This is just your average living room. There's a sofa, a plant, television, coffee table and a bookshelf, and to me, that says "living room", so there you go. You can sit Charmy on the sofa or lay him down. He likes watching late-night television (really, I seriously doubt he ever sleeps), especially infomercials. So turn out the lamp, lie him down and wrap him up in the nice blankie. And don't forget to give him the remote...who wants to get up just to change the channel? Charmy will bask in the electric glow of the television, all night long. In the daytime, the plants need watering and the fish need to be fed. It's a good thing Charmy likes these chores or else they'd never get done. Taking out the trash and cleaning his room, on the other hand... Charmy's favorite soap opera is Passions, because he just loves watching the crazy antics of Tabitha and Ethan and Sheridan and Miguel and Grace and Chad. So, at 2 PM, sit him down by the table (or if nobody's around to yell at him, on top of it) so he can eat his lunch and watch TV some more. Props: -Sofa: Your standard, ugly old couch. Feel free to poke around under the cushions, though it might take a few tries to get them off. They've been stuck there for a long time...also, don't neglect to look under the sofa too! -Television: Let's see what's on...schools programs...soap opera...test card...schools programs...Press the round button to turn the TV on or change the channel. -Table: Every sofa needs a table on which to dump stuff! It can get cluttered, why don't we straighten things up? -Aquarium: Lookit the fishies! Yay. They usually like sitting atop the television set. -Blanket: You can wrap him when he's sitting, lying or standing. When he's not wrapped in it, it's neatly folded under the table. -Remote: Every time you press the remote, the channel changes! Maybe Charmy has something to say about each show, but you'd never know unless you press the "Talk" button! -Watering Can: Give that ficus a nice watering. -Lunch: Lunch today is a bowl of tomato soup, a stick of celery and some apple juice. Maybe Charmy is a vegetarian? -Books: There are lots of books on the shelf. Charmy seems to find Vector's selections amusing... -Fish Food: Fish need to eat too. -Magazines: Books are not magazines are not books. Let's see, there's a TV Guide, Star, Ms. Magazine...hey, wait... -Lamp: You can flip the lamp on when it's nighttime and dark and Charmy wants to get up to get a snack. -NES: Your standard games are here...Super Mario, Link...rumor has it that there's a more obscure game or two floating around out there... Hey shouldn't this be a SEGA?
