Summary:

Military retires after the vulcano death of Godzilla in the last movie. Meanwhile a special unitīs looking for parts of Godzillas skin to study them. The Middle East and the Americans are also interessted, so there are some fights against all secret services. A scientist combines the found Godzilla cells with a rose. The result: a strongly growing plant named Biollante. Biollante suddenly appears in Tokyo bay and causes a traffic jam. Meanwhile, Godzilla frees himself out of the vulcano and swims to Biollante, surely first destroys some ships and helicopters. Suddenly the new wonder weapon Super X-2 is presented. Godzilla attacks the now double larged plant with his atomic ray. Biollante defends herself with her tentacles, but Godzilla blasts his opponent into space very soon. Without Biollante, Godzilla walks straight to Tokyo and Super X-2 has surely no chance. Tokyo seems to be without any chance. Suddenly Biollante reappears. This time she defeats Godzilla and flies back into space (?!).

My Opinion:

This movie really starts like a classic secret service thriller, but after a while itīs a fulminant monsterhit. And yes, thereīs a really good plot here (that was not always in the series). Biollante surely is kind of taste and I donīt know, if I like this creature. I dislike the look of the monster and the creation of it. On the other side she seems to be very scary and is surely a hard opponent for Godzilla. The filmīs really thrilling and very entertaining. In my opinion a very nice movie, who (as I said) has bad parts in the monsterdesign. A superb part of the series!
