Thousands of fractals and runes created in the living grain,
(truly appreciable only from the skies above our Planet Earth)
appear suddenly, silently, without a trace of Human intervention,
formed by strange glowing flying orbs, and they're even radioactive !
Many interesting theories have arisen, and they are being investigated,
but one thing is sure ~ they couldn't have possibly been made by Humans.
Imagine
you're a farmer
in southwest England
'n you go out to the fields
one morning, and notice a
large circular depression
in the growing grain,
which you then
follow
only
to
find
yet another
even larger circle connected to it, which has
still more narrow paths that branch out to either side ~ but
there's no path leading to it.

What's the purpose in this
and how could it have
been formed ?
95% of all Crop Circles
appear within 70 km of Stonehenge.
Some are fakes, but there's a big difference.
While hoaxers brag about their midnight exploits
with a few spare 2x4 boards and yards of kite string,
the real ones are perfect, symetrical, mathematical, sometimes fractal, designs
~ seemingly for some odd, perhaps paranormal, purpose
not yet completely understood by primitive Earthlings ~
with the grain stalks themselves reading as radioactive for many yards around.
The more famous hoaxes usually bear the names of
the Crop Circle Artists within the simpler glyphs
and there are footprints leading to and from
the sites ~ with a few scattered
beer cans nearby.
Many new experts
in "The Field" have surfaced
and serious organizations, devoted to
the scientific investigation and eventual
classification of this strange phenomena,
try to visit new Crop Circles as soon as
they're reported by the farmers whose
fields they're in, passing motorists,
or pilots flying overhead.

describe a very
strong foul smell,
so powerful that
many witnesses
were sickened
for days.

The grain stalks
are molecularly damaged
(hence, why they fall down, radially)
from the inside-out, right at the nodes,
usually about a half an inch off the ground,
but the plants themselves remain unharmed.
Soil samples taken from the surrounding area
~ revealing magnetic fluctuations and various
radioactivity levels ~ help to provide at least
some evidence of how they were formed
(though no real word yet as to who),
but a question still remains:
"Why ?"
