Ought 2b a lovely faceless nameless figure sitting in a peaceful meditative pose

From a recent link - "I am often asked, in one way or another, how can I stop thinking. And so I have done a lot of thinking about this. Thinking about not thinking IS thinking and the notion of trying to stop thinking comes from thinking about it and is a strategy - a kind of thinking. In the text 'The Straight Path', zen master Anzan Hoshin (spelling?) quotes the following from zen master Dogen's 'Fukanzazengi' or ' How everyone can sit': 'Think of not thinking. How do you think of not thinking? Be before thinking. These are the basics of zazen' ..."

Bristow

Quote of the day: Sanity and lunacy are judged by the balance of the community, by the population surrounding one. Locals, friends, neighbours. Their judgements are not certain and fixed. Their taste and proclivities, like laws, are arrived at by a consensus. A consensus which may be wicked, depraved, topsy-turvy or just plain wrong.

Just back from a spot of shopping. Thanks for the card and the money. I spent a bit of it already as I purchased a couple of interesting books.

One is a Chakra workbook by Pauline Wills and looks like a good read. I have been wondering what effect these meds are having on my chakras etc. Not sure if this book will answer that ...

The other is 'Tao of Nature' by Mary Summer Rain. I read one of her books from the library and enjoyed it.

My thumb print - get a better one? next trip 2 the Museum ... :)

Then there is another book I got from Denise called 'Reincarnation' by Nevill Drury. I also read one of his books from the local library a while back and this looks like an excellent read - asking such questions as 'Do we continue to reincarnate until we learn the spiritual lessons that life teaches us in the "classroom" of everyday existence'. Plus hypnotic regression and past lives ...

Speaking of Mary Summer Rain ... should see where I ulpoaded those excerpts from 'Phoenix Rising' ... probly angelfire ...
