Article on Edge "Who's the new guy?", WWF Magazine September 1998 by Kevin Kelly Unpredictable and explosive - two words that aptly describe the dynamite and manic Edge, who seems always on the brink of insanity. From nowhere Edge can erupt with out of control rage that leaves opponents lying at his feet. Scouting him is impossible. It's like trying to predict where shrapnel from a grenade will end up. But a grenade is just a green ball if the pin isn't pulled. The only way for an opponent to stop Edge is ground him and keep him off his feet. Easier said than done. His future is certainly bright, but will he self- destruct like so many of his musical influences and idols? Other new faces in the Federation, such as Steve Blackman, Dan Severn, and Jacqueline, make the future look very good. Impact, however, is built on long-term success - not first impressions. As fans, you can feel confident that the World Wrestling Federation knows it's wiser to buy new tires rather than rely on retreads, which my leave you stranded.
