What....Lately it seems
as if I have heard that phrase applied to everything and anything. People
seem to look at the World and the events swirling around them...shrug their
shoulders and say " so what..." as if nothing matters except themselves,
their possessions and the next movie. The fact that we are
on the brink of major changes seems to fly over them. Then there
is the flip side....so many others are so sure the world is coming to end
that they don't care about anything else but doom, gloom and revelations.
So the major changes that are coming escape them also. There is an
apparent lack of balance and people seem to be giving up...I talk
to almost a thousand people a day and am saddened by what I hear. There
is a certain "silence" amidst the noise generated by empty talk. Words
are spoken simply to fill a void. Our society is becoming ruder and more
apathetic. People seem to be in a hurry to go nowhere. Too many sheep are
being produced. So many people, and this includes children, are
on medication for depression and "disorders" that there is a shortage of
trained pharmacists. The state of Texas alone claims the need for 1,500
additional pharmacists.This is fact. In light of this information,
I have to ask myself.... What is wrong with
this picture? Unhappy campers are on the rise I guess...and a need
for some strange sense of order when it comes to children... |
