As we enter the new millennium many of us find ourselves in a world of technological
triumph. Our homes are filled with the latest gadgetry. Machines to fulfill
our every desire. In a few hours we can fly just about anywhere. We eat whatever
takes our fancy - all from a packet. And with the truly marvellous Internet
we can access the sum total of human knowledge and interact with like-minded
folk irrespective of physical location.
But despite our technological triumphs wars, hatred, intolerance and violence
continue to rage around our fragile planet. Many of us live in terrible poverty.
And even in the so-called developed world many are overworked, overstressed
and ultimately unfulfilled.
New Age Spirituality sets out to explore - in various ways - the idea that
this life, this world, is not the totality of our existence. In fact, it might
be just one small part of something much bigger, just one tiny step along an
infinite journey...
