Dr.Sarah Langevin's Info Page....eventually!

Hi everybody. As you can see, I'm working on becoming a Ph.D in population biology, and it's really not as boring as it sounds (but I have to say that, don't I?). My life consist mainly of living in my lab doing research and writing or being in some class trying not to fall asleep while copying an equation. I live with my 2 wonderful dogs. Cosette is the smallest, a Husky with one blue eye and one brown eye. She has a truly Husky personality, which isn't a bad thing. My other furkid is Blackie, a German Shepard that couldn't be nicer if he knows you. Of course, if he doesn't, you should really be scared.He's the protector of the family. I seldom have time to go out, but I do have someone I love and who loves me. -sigh- His name is Alessio, and he's my wonderful Frenchy Ph.D. (computer science, artificial intelligence) He claims it's easy, but I by far find biology more understandable. He has tried to explain genetic algorithms to me, but it just didn't work. Suuuuure, reallly easy. He is one of the sweetest and most caring guys that I've ever met, and I wouldn't trade him for anything. I could go on all day about him, but in all he's perfect.. let's leave it at that (because we never agree on this point).

Some things I can tell you about myself are I'm obsessed with anything musical....e.g- I'm a first soprano, play the piano, and never am without some type of music playing in the background. Even when I'm in the lab, I have some type of music playing too loudly for the professor that has an office next door (Sorry Dr.McCoy!). Eventually, this site will probably even have music that plays. I love my research, which is currently on image analysis techniques for use in dendrochronolgical studies. Lastly, I guess I'll mention I love to collect things. Yes, it sounds anal (Ask Brian, he'll confirm that I am), but I have collections of everything. I'm such a pack-rat. Like I tell people that come over, it's cluttered but at least it's not dirty. Collecting a lot and having a ton of hobbies makes life complicated.

There are many things I can't stand about people or places, and well, they all center around those people. Hmm.....try and figure that connection out. I can't stand when too many people are standing around me. See, this is now just becoming mindless chatter. It's hard to design a site about myself. I'm really boring! So, with that thought, I guess that's it. I hope you enjoy my site's humor.
