The Libra gold saint is Dohko. He and Sion, the previous Aries gold saint, were the only survivors the last sacred war between Athena and Hades. After the battle, Athena gave him a special gift, so now Libra's heart beats 100.000 times each year, whereas a normal heart beats 100.000 times each day. For this reason Dohko lives for more than two hundred years. His own duty is to control the tower in which the 108 specters, faithful to Hades, are imprisoned, so he will announce the beginning of a new sacred war.

Called Roshi (in Chinese "old master") he lives in China, at the Five Peaks, in front of the Rozan waterfall. There, he guards the Dragon bronze cloth and waits a worthy boy to train. He lives a pagoda-like house, full of books and parchments, but nobody knows that he actually is the Libra gold saint.

He knows all the dragon techniques, such as the Rozan Shoryu Ha, the Rozan Kouryu Ha and the Rozan Hyaku Ryu Ha (Hyaku means 100), that is 100 times more powerful than the Rozan Shoryu Ha.

In the past he fought against the father of Megrez Alberich, Delta God Warrior. He went in China to learn, but when Roshi refused to teach him the Rozan Kouryu Ha, he attacked him by using his own special attack. However, Roshi was able to concentrate so much that he became imperceptible and so he won the battle.

A little before Shiryu's arrival in Rozan, Roshi adopted an orphan girl and named her Shunrei. She still lives in Rozan and takes care of the old master.

He had two disciples, Shiryu and Ohko, but the latter was expelled due to his violent behaviour. Shiryu continued the training until he became the Dragon saint. For Roshi, Shiryu and Shunrei are like children.

Roshi's training doesn't consist only in developing physical power, but also in developing a spiritual and mental power. Shiryu had to learn how to reach interior tranquillity but also how to find the weak point of an enemy during a fight and how to control natural forces by his own power.

Roshi often helps Shiryu during a battle by advising him telepathically and by exhorting him to never surrender, but he doesn't reveal his secrets not even to him, till the right moment.

Dohko always knows what happens all over the world, he knows that Ares is the new pope, that Saori is Athena's reincarnation and he even knows what happened in the night when Aioros saved the newborn Saori.

When the bronze saints fought against the Marine Shoguns, Dohko ordered gold saints to not take part in the battle, because he knew that Hades and the specters are going to return.

Roshi's story is revealed during this adventure, when the old master returns young in order to face Shion. This time Dohko shows a tiger tattoo on his back. After have wear his gold cloth, Libra attacks Shion by the Rozan Hyaku Ryu Ha, then he speaks to the bronze saints about the eight sense and goes with them in the underworld. He dies with the other gold saint trying to open an hole in the Wailing Wall.
