The following will be a discussion on Magick and Candle Magick. This IS a discussion, I will not give out spells, so NO "spell begging"! It is my intent by placing this information on this site that many of you who have the wrong impression of magick will learn more about it. In my opinion you do not have to be of a certain belief or religious system to use magick. Magick LIVES in all of us, its just waiting to be put to use. Magick in my opinion is something that can and should be combined with any other religion or belief system.
Magick is always a beginning. Magick comes from within and without. It is used to link us to the universe more fully. It is part of each of us and the entire universe. It is a power to be used and focused - never abused.
Some magick can be misused and abused. The entire focus of magick is to employ this power in a responsible manner. Magick is a powerful force and should be treated with the respect required.
Candles are a powerful tool, used to enhance meditation or change the mood of a room or person. The color has its own vibration and is released and magnified when lit.
Candle magick has gotten a bad rap (so to say), and is caused in the most part because people do not understand its terms and/or functions. So I would like to clarify these before we go any further.
Stated simply Magick is a way of imposing your will upon the universe, Similar to a parayer with the exception of..... When you use prayer you are asking God (the universe) for help, When you use magick you are assuming That God (the universe) is already helping and you are using your Will to help things manifest faster. Its really no different that lighting a candle at mass with the intention of helping another person or yourself. Or saying a prayer and asking Help be sent. Magick is our means to help also, our intention to do good in the universe. Our resolution to help or not give up in any given situation. I hope that my descriptions have helped a little to take the stigma out of Magick and spell works.
One of the simplest of the magickal arts which comes under the heading of natural magick is candle burning. It is simple because it employs little ritual and few ceremonial artifacts. The props for candle magick can be purchased at most stores and Rituals can be preformed most anywhere.
Most of us have preformed our first act of candle magick by the time we were two years old. Blowing out the candles on our birthday cake and making a wish is pure magick. this childhood custom is based on three magickal principles of concentration, will power and visualization. In simple terms, the child who wants his wish to come true has to concentrate (blow out the candles), visualize the end result (make a wish), and hope that it comes true (will power).
Some basic rules to remember:
1. If you send it out - it's coming back!
That's right - what you send will return, not once - but, THREE times. So, if you decide to curse someone with a spell, prepare for the result.
2. Magick is Dangerous!
Magick can be dangerous if used in improper ways. Be careful of the types of spells you cast. Spells will misfire if they are improperly cast. So, take your time, think things out, and ASK for information if you have a doubt. Be safe!
3. Magick involves much study and preparation.
Please take time to study the information provided. Do not attempt to do Any spell without careful consideration of the actions you will be employing. It is of the utmost importance that you consider all things---since what you put out Good or Bad will come back to you THREE times over! Be very careful how you word things in your candle spells or any Magick for that matter. Ever heard the saying "be careful what you wish for?" Thats because it may well come true. You must clearly stae your intent in Words and Emotions. As an example-- you may wish to say something like--- With Harm to NONE and help to many
4. Be safe with ALL of your ritual implements and candles!
Please be careful of the candles involved in basic rituals.
Fire will burn. Fire will destroy. Therefore, make sure that all necessary precautions are taken to insure that your area is safe. Never leave fire alone unless you have taken these steps.
Magick---
The only necessary componet to conducting magick is YOU, your will. All the other things are just tools to employ, to help you focus. You could have all the best, most expensive tools available to human kind and still not be able to produce successful magick! Practice visualization, concentration and meditation techniques and be able to ground and center yourself. No ritual or spell will be successful without your personal power.
Magick lives inside us. It comes from our will alone! We use our personal power to connect to, and interact with the universe, Thus Magick is created. We use this will and our good intentions to produce magick, although Magick also has a dark side. Some choose to use their will and intent, Thus their power to do Harm. This is a good time to reiterate how closely Karma and ethics are intertwined. If you cast an evil spell, you may be in for some Karma even though you might consider yourself a good person.. You choose your own color of magick, not once, but each time you practice. Some traditions believe in Karma as "What you do comes back to you". Do you? This is your own moral choice. The magick you will learn to create on your own can be used for any purpose. It is your responsibilty to use it wisely. If you Think before you act and ALWAYS remember the three-fold law you will be sucessful.
