Robert Musgrove's Grave

Some time ago (when I was a small boy) I read a short article about a rather obscure individual in Alabama History. The person was a Railroad Engineer by the name of Robert Musgrove. The story was about his death, and interment, sometime around 1900-1904, approximately. As I recall he was engaged to be married to a young woman, who, shortly after his death, disappeared. The marker at his gravesite then began to show the outline of a woman, in a bridal gown. As the years passed this image became more and more detailed. As of the late 1960's even the face was distinct. This marker can be seen from the road, according to the story. As I recall, it was Musgrove Chapel Rd. but I cannot remember the name of the town, nor the church. The book in which I read this story, was one of the "Stranger than Science" books by noted paranormal researcher Frank Edwards. If you know of any resource material on this subject, please contact me by return e-mail.

Thank you,

Charles

Update: A relative of Robert Musgrove e-mailed me and stated that the story above is fairly close to the real story. After the image began appearing, the cemetery attracted so many visitors that it was being damaged and vandalized. The family is not eager to draw much more attention to it, so I'll skip some of the identifying details. About the image itself, the relative says, "Personally, this supposedly clear image of a kneeling girl requires some imagination to see."
