This is by no means all of the runes, but these are the most common ones and their meanings. To read runes is similar to the tarot, any tarot spread will work for runes also. What I do is keep my runes in a cotton drawstring bag that I sewed myself and draw one each day as a meditation point for that day. I made my runes out of Fimo clay, which you can find almost anywhere nowadays. I used white Fimo and inscribed the runes on them with a toothpick. Easy and CHEAP! LOL.

Algiz	Protective Sanctuary	This rune signifies that something in your life has become painful and you need to sit down and figure out what lesson is to be learned here. Don't shy away from the pain, it will make you stronger to face it!
Ansuz	Messages and Signals	The marks on here signify the marks of our past and what it is we need to learn from it. You need to decide what action to take from here on, there is a possible storm in your life.
Berkana	Growth	This rune is considered the "growing" rune. Life has taken all its twists and turns so you would learn and grow. This rune signifies that it is growing fast, and things treated with this rune usually have very good outcomes.
Dagaz	Daylight and God/Goddess Light	This is the time for light, the time for you to use your talents to perform well in the daylight hour. Make things better for you and your family, or to help around the community.
Ehwaz	The Sacred Horse	Focus on the tools that will take you to higher places in your life. This rune stands for the tools, much like the horse, who has been depended on for centuries to get us where we need to go.
Eihwaz	Yew Tree	This rune gives you the ability to defend yourself, like the Vikings, who used the Yew tree to make their weapons, and for their fires. Strive never to be caught off guard.
Fehu	Cattle	This rune signifies weath. Currency used to be cattle, and those who had many cattle were considered wealthy. Always be thankful for your riches, and be humble. Remember that there are always bad days.
Gebo	The Gift of Harmonic Relationship	This rune shows a strong caring of nature . It signifies harmony, both in personal life and spiritual life. Use meditation to keep becoming in harmony with nature and the Gods and Goddesses.
Hagalaz	Destructive Forces	This rune represents things that are out of our control, and may be ruined. We cannot control everything, so we need to learn to let go sometimes.
Inguz	Fertility	Yes, this rune represents the fertility and joining of two human beings. You may be wanting a pregnacy, or you are already pregnant. This rune is very powerful when meditated on, and will have great bearing on your inner child also.
Isa	Ice and Freezing	This rune is powerful to mediatae on the forces of the bitter winters. The one who meditates on this rune will have great power of influence.
Jera	The Cycle of One Year	Wait. This rune means you need to wait for your "harvest". You need persistance and foresight to see what is to come from a venture.
Kano	An Opening	This is a great time to put your energies into new opportunities. There is always a way out of a dark situation, so focus on what the action is and invest energies into breaking through.
Laguz	Water	This rune is for deep meditation of the higher forces. A spiritual cleansing may be needed now to renew yourself for tasks ahead.
Mannaz	The Nature of Humankind	Not feeling very important? This rune signifies to remember what makes up the human race in the good aspects. Each and every one of us is an individual, and we all bring our talents to light. What can you really do for your community? Acknowledge that you are important!
Nauthiz	The Negatives of Human Needs	This rune signifies that the human is a very delicate creature, and we need to medidtate on how bad things can get and what you really don't need to survive at the hardest times of your life.
Othila	Inheritance, Usually from Separation	This rune signifies the loss and the gain when someone departs from this world to begin anew. New things may come, and decisions on what we should do with the new things should be made. The hurt will get better when we realize that there is always something good from something bad.
Perth	Things Unexplainable	When you can't explain why something happened or what is going on, meditate on this rune. We can't always explain everything, but mysteries may become known.
Raido	Journeys	Higher forces may be telling you it is time to take a trip. It may be a spiritual trip, or a break from everyday living. Meditate on this rune and see what they are trying to tell you. Most Journeys can become good after the fact, even if they seem bad at the time.
Sowolu	The Sun, Giver of all Life	The sun is the ultimate rulker of all the forces, and we need to realize that our place here has alot to do with that. You can become whole again if you realize where your essence came from.
Teiwaz	Spiritual Warrior	This rune is a protector of warriors, and the giver of victory. If you need strangth, meditate on this rune. It also will keep serious physical harm far away from you.
Thurisaz	The Seeing of Things to Pass	Everyone has a dark side, and this rune brings it in full view. Some say it represents the demon in all of us, and we need to break free and overcome it. Meditation on this rune should focus on overcoming this darker side.
Uruz	Brut Strength	We all live to survive. You must realize that when you die, a new life begins. Someone close to you wishing for a baby may get one upon your death (this does not mean if Aunt Edna wants a baby you should kill yourself). Life is a never ending cycle, and a person who realizes this will have no regrets upon premature death.
Wunjo	Bliss and Glory	This rune signifies joy. Realize what you have and be happy for that.
