Christmas

Greetings Everyone,
Welcome to my Christmas page, I would like to share with you some of my thoughts for this wonderful holiday, I was reading the news paper the other day and a little cartoon cult my eye, it said to be more political correct in this day and age we need to remove Christ from Christmas, Have we forgotten what Christmas is about?
I thought to myself,
Sleigh bells, snowflakes, and more, to some this means Christmas,
Christmas is a special and magical time of the year and anything can happen, strangers can meet and become good friends and for some even fall in love.
A tree in your home is a tradition, Bells and lights will be hung from its majestic branches,
An angel, a star, or even a Santa Clause on top makes it all worthwhile,
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.
Lots of people, Crowds everywhere Rushing and pushing and shoving, Going nowhere, It's Christmas time again, Have to get all those things done
Hussle, bussle, quickly, Must get this and must get that Maybe this nic, maybe that nak, When did it happen, When did we lose track
But lets not forget Before we get too far,
What is really important, it Doesn't take much to figure out,
Take the time to love, Show your family and friends just how much you care, lend a helping hand to stranger or someone in need, The greatest gift of all is absolutely free, give the gift of love this holiday season, Take time to love and love from the heart.
You feel that warm glow?
Well, That's a start, Now you can reach out Enjoy your holiday
Give to those around you And don't forget to pray
Now the joy of Christmas,
Can really fill you up All the rest is meaningless
This is Christmas, This is what it is about, Without Jesus there is only doubt
Christmas without Christ?
Who ever heard of such a thing.
A long time ago in a little manger Was born a tiny little stranger.
Though he was only little, he was a king, And all the angels began to sing.
Came all the shepherds with their sheep, giving the baby gifts to keep.
All of the people and angels began to sing about this tiny little king.
And to this day we celebrate with bliss This wonderful day called Christmas.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very, merry Christmas. And I hope we all remember the real reason we celebrate Christmas ... the birth of our Savior, Jesus.
Christmas is a very special time of year for me.
I love being with my family, I love the sights, smells, and sounds of the season.
It is also a time to remember God's greatest gift to us.
I wish You and Yours a very merry Christmas.
Thank You for visiting my Christmas page. I hope you enjoyed your visit! Come back again soon! John,

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
T'was the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicksoon would be there.
The children were nestled, all snug in their beds
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap
Had just settleddown for a long winter's nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer .
With a little old driver, so lively and quick
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick .
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name.
"Now, DASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and VIXEN!
On, COMET! on CUPID! on, DONDER and BLITZEN!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew
With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around
Down the chimney St. Nicholascame with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry.
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow
And the beard of his chin was as whiteas the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly
That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly .
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose .
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight
"MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!"
