Some Information on Peugeot Performance
| Air Filters | Replacement filters will give at tops 3 bhp. Remember that you are still getting the same amount of air being forced into it as the original one. |
| Induction Kits | Power is higher about 10 bhp max. But remember buy a good quality one such as K & N or Piper cross. These kits are good value for money and I highly recommended one. |
| Chips | No not the eating kind! But the ones in your cars computer. By fitting a chipset you can substantial gain, with acceleration, top end speed and even economy! Remember the cheaper the chipset the worse your car is going to feel. A grand (aus) is a good fully programmable chipset done by a qualified installer. |
| Exhaust Systems | A Performance Black box can accompany the other two above adding more Bhp and even a nice end sound. However a loud exhaust is usually a slow exhaust. |
| Camshafts |
These have lobes on them which open the valves, by making the lobes taller, it enlarges the length of time the valve is open. You can also add more valves like if you have a 8 Valve can can update it to a 16 valve. |
| Engine Transplants | Now a days this is a fairly common practice. With the 205 having 405 Mi16 engines in them and 306 6 speed boxes. But now you can put the 406 coupe V6 into the 306! |
