Generally they're not as spectacular as this. No-one was seriously hurt, fortunately. I would have liked to have taken pictures at the scene, but I didn't find out about the collision until the next day.</div> <div> One of the officers was taking a prisoner to jail. we're estimating he ran a red light between 40 and 50 MPH then broadsided his best friend in the other unit, going through the intersection on a green light. The chances of two cops colliding is astronomical, but it happens from time to time. Could have just as easily been an innocent citizen. So, yes we too screw up.</div> <div> Now for those of you that think speed isn't a big thing...</div> <div> 2-3 MPH faster by the officer going through on the green or 2-3 MPH slower by the offending officer could literally have made the difference between life and death.
