D - Regarded as the greatest vampire hunter in the world. Also a very beautiful man and a dhampir (half-human,half-vampire). D has all the powers of a vampire but few of their weaknesses. Usually very stoic his vampiric side sometimes surfaces uncontrollably. Being neither human nor vampire D has lived a very lonely, nomadic life. His weapon of choice is a long curved thin bladed sword. He wears a blue pendant that can nuetralize nearly any weapon. His left hand is cursed and possessed by a demon which has powers independent of D's own.Doris Lang - The daughter of a deceased Werewolf hunter Doris is beautiful and strong. Doris lives in the frontier town of Ransylva with her brother Dan. She is chosen by Count Lee as his newest bride. Doris is devoted to protecting her brother and continuing her fathers work as a werewolf hunter. Doris hires D to help her and falls for him.Dan Lang - Dan cares a great deal for his sister Doris and will go to great lengths to help her in any way he can. He is very talkative and takes an immediate liking to D.Rei Ginsei - Rei is a mutant who posseses the power to alter space to his liking. This allows him to displace objects and even subvert attacks against him. Rei serves Count Lee in the hopes that one day he will make him a vampire.Count Magnus Lee - One of the last remaining nobleman from the Dracula lineage, Magnus Lee is over 10,000 years old. Lee has been around since the nuclear war that destroyed civilization. Vampires grow stronger with age and this makes Count Lee one of the strongest vampires alive. Count Lee is a lonely man, living 10,000 years will do this to you, so every 100 years or so he chooses a woman from the humans in his territories and makes her his bride.Lamica Lee - Lamica is an elitist, she holds great pride in her lineage and is upset that her father takes mere humans as brides. John Elbourne - John is the handicapped patriarch of a wealthy family in the frontier. He summons D to save his kidnapped daughter.Charlotte Elbourne - Charlotte is kidnapped by Meier Link and has D and the Markus brothers trying to save her. But something does not seem right about this damsel in distress.Meier Link - Meier Link is a young (for a vampire) vampire who plays the part of villian. He does not seem to be an evil person, he kidnaps Charlotte out of true love.Countess Carmilla - Carmilla was a high ranking sorceress of the ancient elite vampires, alas she died long ago. Her spirit lives on however and has been plotting her own reincarnation. Charlotte is the key player in Carmilla's nefarious scheme.The Barbaroids - The Barbaroids are a group of mutants hired by Meier to help and protect him from D and the Markus Brothers. They are Benge who can travel through shadows and uses a variety of poisoined weapons, Caroline who can fuse with and control any kind of plant, and the leader Machila who is a Werewolf demon.Leila Markus - Leila is a sleek, sexy gun toting hard as rock hunter who can easily keep up with the Markus Brothers. She eventually joins up with D and evolves a soft spot for him. She fears that no one will mourn her when she is dead.Borgoff - The eldest of the Markus Brothers, Borgoff is a tough, cigar smoking, Arnold Schwarzenegger wanna being heavy duty veteran. He has seen his fair share of combat.Nolt - Nolt is a huge lumbering cyborg. He is quiet and reserved. Nolt handles the heavy firepower.Kyle - Every bounty hunting squad needs a knife guy, and Kyle is that guy. An expert with a blade and speed and reflexes equivalent to a mongooses.Grove - An effeminate little fellow, Grove is rather pale and thin. He has the ability to project his astral form with devestating energy. However helpful this ability is it is also slowly killing him.
