: Stan,

: Find, get, or make a receipt from the guy that you bought the basket case from. Make sure the engine, trans, frame, fork,..... #'s are on the receipt. The more #'s the better, wherever you find them write them down. If you can't find any write down the best short description of what the thing is, ie.; "front forks from a 1965 Harley Davidson Wide Glide" or something like that. If you aren't sure exactly what it is and are afraid the man may know ask a harley shop. If not, make something up and hold a straight face, very few people can actually tell you what you have once you've chaed the accessories and so forth.
: Hope this helps and makes sense, just remember your main objective is to get a title, not to be perfect on it all!!! Hell, I got mine from a title service down south cause it is factory made, older than '79 or whatever the year is, the guy couldn't get a title from the previous owner(.......) I know!!!, and the state wouldn't go off of a sales receipt cause it was originally factory made!

: If I can help let me know via my name / e- mail link above.

I bought a basket case honda that had a title. You don't really care about the honda but just the title. I used those numbers as mine destroyed the other frame and regestered mine as a motor cycle. That was the easiest thing to do and it got me a new title and license.
