OK....I rented a '99 Harley Low Rider and took off for
Sturgis....I live in Austin, Texas...picked up my buddy
in Fort Worth, trailered his Heritage and my Low Rider
to Cuchara, CO...left the trailer and rode to Sturgis
and back, crossed the Divide 8 times...great trip.
Hadn't been on a bike in 15 years...that time I fell
off...laid up for 3 months. Having said that...I
enjoyed the hell out of the trip, had no trouble, but
now know I want a trike. I'm currently having one built
and it should be ready mid October. I'm using an engine
I have...VW, 2 liter, dual 40mm, Del Orto carbs, external
oil..."pepped up" cam (who knows to whatevel?)...runs
like crazy. Question...I wonder what kind of mileage
I'll get...the entire trike and engine will be about 900
pounds. Next....If I host a trike-in, here in Austin,
any idea how many trikes I might get....I'd need to plan
for out-door toilets and camping room...? Thinking about
sometime in February, 2000.....Oh, I'm a new BTW member
