With a new steering head manufactured by the local machine shop I installed the forks! Well, it is sittin' on three wheels..
Detailed shot of the frame welded to the top of the now trimmed tunnel. The frame welded to the steering head..
Seat frame is bend from 3/4" conduit. Handle bars are bend from 3/4" heavy wall pipe. Tip on bending pipe: Fill the pipe full of fine sand (silica) and weld the ends shut. Now when you bend the pipe it stays nice and round.. I started on the back seat and the back rest. The idea from the back rest is from Dean Gangstee's trike Phoenix. The driverseat will be trashed later due to a better idea..
Looks already like a trike. Should find a steep hill and I could ride it..No brakes trough!?*%#@ Detailed shot of the back seat frame. 1" square tubing.
Finished backrest bolted onto VW axle. Done with 3/4" Conduit bend with a conduit bender.  Looks more and more like a trike..
