SotW OUTFIT IMPROVEMENT TIPS
by Rob Sorrels
QuickTips : SotW outfits
1. Swap velcro for snaps on the SotW shirts/jackets by snipping the threads that hold the velcro. Then either sew or fabric glue the seam back together and stitch on the snaps. You can get black and silver snaps in the fabric section of your local Wal-Mart, etc.
2. One tiny stitch will hold the collars and pocket flaps flat.
3. SotW pants are too big in the waist for HOF & CC Joes, but if you take a piece of that velcro from the shirt/jacket and sew it next to the factory velcro. This will allow you to snug up the pants.
4. Iron the outfits before you put 'em Joe. Makes a sharper looking finished product!
5. The SotW pants are baggy enough to actually blouse into the boots. Tuck just a bit of the bottom of the pants into the boots and pull the rest out evenly around the top of the boot.
6. Circle Home Studio (http://www.circlehome.com/home.html) sells a wide variety of tiny button to finish off the uniforms or replace lost buttons on vintage uniforms!
