Aardvark Automotive 2000 This is a Limited Edition interior shot. Apart from the obvious design changes, these are the differences I can see. Chrome door handles (not visible). Automatic gear selection visible between the tach and speedo. Digital odometer and trip meter (and clock below the tach). One cup holder flips out of the slot to the right of the radio. (The other front cup holder is next to the hand brake). In dash 6 CD changer is now below the radio. Transmission gear selector gate.
A New Look for the Legacy Interior

It turns out that my 2000 pages from last year are pretty much on the money, so I've put a shortcut at the bottom of the page if you need more pictures.
Here is how the models will become availabe. To start (July/August 1999) there will only be Outback wagons. A month later Legacy wagons (L & GT). A month after that come the sedans. The 6 cylinder engine has a full year to go (July/August 2000)
Sedans:
Legacy L auto & 5 speed.
Legacy GT auto & 5 speed.
Legacy GT Limited auto & 5 speed.
Outback Limited Sedan auto only.
Wagons:
Legacy Brighton auto & 5 speed.
Legacy L auto & 5 speed.
Legacy GT auto & 5 speed.
Outback wagons:
Legacy Outback auto & 5 speed.
Legacy Outback with built in child seat auto & 5 speed.
Legacy Outback with All Weather Package auto & 5 speed.
Legacy Outback with All Weather Package and built in child
seat auto & 5 speed.
Legacy Outback Limited with dual sunroofs auto & 5 speed.
These are the basic vehicle packages. They cannot be changed. So, for example, you can't get an Outback Limited wagon with a built in child seat or a Limited Edition anything without a sunroof (or two)!
