1960 TO 1979                    [10]

7014 YG was the first of a series of Roe-bodied 78-seat double-deckers which joined the fleet from 1961.  This one had the Johannesburg-style radiator cover.  Note the darker shade of blue paint applied when new.

NWT 496D was in the Reliance fleet, but carries no fleet name in this picture.  Delivered new to Stainforth, it worked mainly on the Dunscroft route at first, but later appeared on the Goole route as further new vehicles joined the fleet.

TET748S represented the final phase of Blue Line and Reliance double-deck evolution.  There were four of these Roe-bodied Daimler FE30AGRs and they principally worked the Dunscroft and Armthorpe routes.

Bedfords and Fords replaced all the Guys in the single-deck fleet.  They were used as one-man-operated service buses, for colliery and schools contracts and also for private-hire work. VKW 999S, a Bedford YLQ, was the last Blue Line coach and YET 178T, a Ford, was last in the Reliance fleet.
