OK, we're not gonna get real technical here. A nuke is this: Windows95 was released with a flaw. If a person sends you an OOB (out of band) packet, or any other type of nuke (there are several flavors), it "confuses" windows and can cause you to get a blue-screen fatal-exception error, or a plain system lockup or a forced disconnect from your provider. While no true harm will come to your system, it is a major annoyance and also illegal (ask your provider about their policy on Denial of Service attacks).
So, to protect yourself download the four patches below, and run (execute) the files. BE SURE TO EXECUTE PATCH ONE FIRST!!!!!
The first patch will ensure that your winsock is correct. If you do not do this FIRST the rest of the patches will not work. These patches are ONLY for windows95 users, windows 3.x does not have this problem, nor does Mac O.S. and if you are running Unix or Linux just make sure your version and/or kernel is up-to-date.
