This site is to help those of you who frequent #mirc4dummies and have been assigned a "+" for demonstrating your willingness to support our channel and to help the newbie. Now you are on your way to becoming an OP (Channel Operator). May God have mercy on your soul LOL!

The first step is to understand our channel rules. Since you've already been assigned a + badge, you know that we are a big happy family channel and we don't tolerate swearing or rude behaviour by anyone, including the ops. Now that you are about to graduate, here are a few more rules to be followed...

You now have the power to kick and ban people. It's very easy to get high on this new ability and start kicking people all over the place just because "you feel like it". Restraint is key here, remember what you now consider to be "lame" may just be a newbie who is confused. Remember, we were ALL newbies once and the first time we chatted with anyone was quite intimidating.

Do NOT kick your fellow ops...even though it is usually done in jest, the op you kick may not think so. The most common cause of channel failure is a channel with ops who can not get along with each other. If you have a problem with another op, please try to handle it between yourselves first and if that does not work then both ops should bring the problem either to the next op meeting or to girlybear or her channel administration (listed on the #mirc4dummies homepage).
