Script.ini is a script that you DON'T want.  It is written so that it sends itself to other users each time someone joins or parts a channel you are in.   Then those users send it on to other users too.

.
Script.ini can cause you to be disconnected from the IRC and can also allow others to access your computer via an fserve keyword.
.
Script.ini is not a virus, just a script that causes some annoying things to happen.
.
There are a number of variations of Script.ini but they are easily
removed in a couple of different ways:
.
It is usually a good idea to establish a DCC chat with the person and have them leave the channel so they don't continue to send Script.ini to anyone joining (and/or leaving).
.
Have the person type:
/remote OFF      (hopefully this turns the person's remote off )
/unload -rs script.ini    (this unloads script.ini from the person's remotes)
/remove script.ini    (this removes script.ini from the person's mIRC)
/sreq ask      (this will require the person to approve dcc transfers in the future)
.
Have them rejoin the channel and then YOU leave and return to see if they send Script.ini to you.
.
In a few cases, the script has been altered so that the /commands will not work.
If the above does not work, tell them to:
.
*type /sreq ask (do this first, in case you never see them again...)
*disconnect from the IRC
*go to Windows95/Start/Programs/Windows Explorer
*find the mIRC directory and Script.ini
*right click on Script.ini and select "delete"
*empty the recycle bin
*reconnect to mIRC
.
