What's new?

October 4, 2003 - C.P.I.

Ummmm...  You guys probably all despise me for not updating very often.  Scary to think that it's been more than 1 year and a half since my last real update.  Well, rest assured that all the submissions I've gotten are still in my inbox for use.  And actually, while I have a new email address (pkchari_1@yahoo.com) specifically where all those submissions are stored, it is taking up quite a bit (actually 93% of my space).  I would like to note that I am currently a working stiff and the person I'm working for is just about the most infuriating creature ever to walk the Earth  In any case, the task of writing video games for a living takes up a large chunk of my free time.  To say nothing of the fact that I've been at this place for over 6 months now, and my sanity is under outstanding duress.  Also, I and a few of my buddies have opened up a gaming-related website -- The Polygoners.  So that leaves me working like a dog for the village idiot, translating anime, and 3 websites to keep an eye on.  Not fun, especially when one has bills to pay, and no internet access outside of his office...  so you can imagine my delight.

Anyway -- I've set aside a little time to cull a few submissions off the top of my inbox and here they are --
Yue (Cardcaptor Sakura)
Gattsu (Berserk)
Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin)

Okay, so there's no real *update* per se.  But it got your attention, no?  However, this is not just me being cruel and getting you all excited for nothing.  I've simply not had time to do anything for the site in some time largely because I'm juggling several things at once.  I'm not only still doing some contract music jobs, but also translating for Anime-Keep, and still trying to hunt down a real job at the same time.  As a result, AMP is on the back burner.  Do not despair; all the submissions that were sent to me are still sitting in my inbox.  They will go up.  But another issue is at hand.  I need to reclaim space on tripod, and the old AMP page is still up there for backup purposes.  Some prospects are up there that went up after I started work on the current AMP layout.  And so they're missing from the new AMP.  This is where you fans come in.  I will eventually take down the old amp and keep a full snapshot of it on file, but rather than sorting through the missing prospects myself, I'm asking you fans to do it.  A few already came up some time ago, but I'd like something more thorough, and I can't count on myself to do it nor do I have time.
In short, with that, and the newer submissions sitting in my inbox, AMP will finally be up to date.  When at least a few things in my life are back in order, I will devote more time to the site.  Until then, well... just... until then.
Ja...

February 11, 2002 - C.P.I.

Well, I just basically waited out for a bunch of submissions rather than doing a few at a time.  As it so happens, I got a lot more than I bargained for.  Also, people did a lot straight into HTML, so I had to do some monkeying around to make it livable inside the frameset, and find some images for people in their stead.  So here's the list of new stuff --
Tenchi Masaki (Tenchi Muyo!). Tama Neko (Fushigi Yuugi). Android 16 (DBZ).
Ash Ketchum, Misty (Pocket Monsters/Pokemon).
Aoshi, Misao, Sanosuke, Saitoh, Soujiro (Rurouni Kenshin)
Akamanto Kamen, Hanako, Haruto, Kagamiko, Mutsuki, Kazumi (Haunted Junction)

YEI~~~~~.  I finally figured out the weird creepy causes-IE-and-only-IE-to-crash-bug when you click on the updated link.  A very bizarre infinite loop with Fortunecity's cookies.  So I had to not only write the updates file from scratch, but also the top frame...  Anyway, that created non-cookie-ing files for FC servers to live-edit at will.

Well, more activity, as usual.  I still can't explain that weird bug that's causing IE to crash when clicking on the updated link.  So I figure to try and fix it, I'll just completely erase that old "mpnew.html" and re-write it from scratch in case I missed something.  Anyway, today we have some new stuff, too...
Van Fanel, Dryden (Escaflowne).  A new Quatre submission (GundamWing).

January 23,2002 - C.P.I.

It's scary how excitable people are when you make changes. So I got a few billion hits in no time, and LOTS of submissions... naturally, Fortunecity decides that's the perfect time to do maintenance. And I had to move to a new place in the middle of it all... Life is just messed up that way.
Anyway, a whole bunch of new submissions, plus old ones that I never originally put up... ^__^
Allen Schezar, Dilandau, Hitomi, Merle, Millerna Aston (Escaflowne).
Honey (Cutey Honey). Duo, Quatre, Treize (Gundam Wing). Pai (3x3 eyes).
Princess Fatora (El-Hazard). Ayanami Rei (Evangelion). Terry Bogard (Fatal Fury).
Schuldig (Weiss Kruez). Muraki Kazutaka (Yami no Matsuei).

Well, I owe Shinji a lot of thanks for the new design. And since I've *JUST* finished college, and I'm still working on SIGGraph stuff, and still writing more songs, and still job-hunting I've been way too occupied to work on the page.
I finally buckled down and did a few things... Some bugfixes and such. The page was looking better in Netscape than in IE for some time. Anyway, it all works for now, and there are no problems. Although, this version of the site is a little behind on existing submissions, but that's easy to deal with. The new design is a lot better, and that counts.
Well, wherever Shinji disappeared to, I dunno... But mastering access still has the same login & password, so he can always come in and weave his magic. Not that I'm incapable... I'm just too lazy.

May 7, 2000 - Shinji

Hi There! You may wonder why it says Shinji up on the news but it's because I'm Shinji, the new co-webmaster for this site. I've redone the site with the new design, questions or comments? E-mail me.
