Exhibit Six: Chinese Zodiac
Here I have folded all 12 models of the chinese zodiac. All of
the models are created by John Montroll and can be found in "Mythological
Creatures and the Chinese Zodiac in Origami". I used Not-a-Hide paper
for each model because of its texture which gave each animal model its
realistic look. Please note that the with the following models are
brief descriptions of the zodiac animals. The descriptions are derived from
John Montroll's book.
From left to right
is a rat, ox, and tiger. Persons born in the year of the rat (1900, 1912,
1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996) are charming, determined, fussy
and frugal. They are quick to anger but able to control their temper; are honest
and ambitious. Persons born in the year of the ox (1901, 1913, 1925, 1937,
1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997) tend to be silent, patient and confident. They are dexterous,
stubborn and short tempered. Persons born in the year of the tiger (1902,
1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998) tend to be temperamental,
sensitive, pensive and sympathetic towards friends. Often they have problems with authority
and can be stubborn, selfish and mean.

is a rabbit, chinese dragon, and snake. Persons born in the year of the
rabbit (1903, 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999) are lucky
in terms of money, and thus make good business people and are very eloquent.
However, they like to gossip, are tactful, well liked and admired.
Persons born in the year of the chinese dragon (1904, 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000)
have enthusiasm, sincerity, sensitivity and courage. They also have a hot temper, stubbornness
and a big mouth but are very sympathetic and are slightly gullible. Persons
born in the year of the snake (1905, 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977,
1989, 2001) are not very verbal but are people of action. They are wise, sympathetic,
are usually perfectionists and try to help others.

(1906, 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002) are "people persons". Horses
are popular, happy, talkative, and independent. Persons born in the year of
the ram (1907, 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003) are artistic
and passionate in their believes. They are often timid, confused about life,
and pessimistic. Persons born in the year of the monkey (1908, 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004)
are intelligent, creative, have good memories and are good at solving problems.
They also lack ambition, are easily discouraged and can be condescending.

(1909, 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005) are pensive, devoted,
selfish, tactless, somewhat immature, and get disappointed when they cannot finish.
They don't trust others and therefore are often loners. Persons born
in the year of the dog (1910, 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006)

they can also be stubborn, selfish, unique, picky and insulting. Persons
