Diggs
Taye Diggs previously acted on Broadway in Carousel. Off-Broadway he performed in RENT. He has appeared on television in New York Undercover, and also acted in the film Blind Date. Diggs's other credits include The Greeks, Black Love Song #1 and Dutchman. The part of Benny is usually one of the least liked parts in the entirety of RENT, but personally, he's my absolute favorite of them all. So if you don't like Benny, get offa my page! (No, not really, but I would advise you strongly to reconsider...)
Taye Diggs: Before I started acting, I wanted to be a psychologist. Cheesy as it sounds, I wanted to help people. I was always the one people went to for advice. I guess being onstage and doing my thing is my way of helping people, by taking them away from whatever they want to be taken away from.
