Rodney Hicks
Originally from Philidelphia, Rodney Hicks made his Broadway debut in RENT. He appeared in the world premier production of I Was Looking At The Ceiling, Then I Saw The Sky. He performed in the national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. Off- Broadway, he has performed in RENT, Lotto, Chaos, and Bring In The Morning. He has appeared on television in One Life to Live and as a cohost of Dance Party USA.
Rodney Hicks: At twenty-two, I'm the youngest person in the cast. One of the first jobs I got was at the Theatre for Young Audiences in a play called Blocks, and Jonathan wrote the music. It had issues similar to RENT's. During Blocks, I saw how intense Jonathan was about his work. His dedication impressed me deeply, and it's something I can learn from. The experience of doing RENT has made me very open-minded. I'm so grateful that Jonathan believed in me.
