In his previous live, Toxin lived the army life. The army felt differently however and gave him a discharge because they felt he would be a liability to his unit in combat. It seems Toxin always wanted to be a hero.

The experimentation that created Toxin allows him to mimic any poison once he comes in contact with it. He can generally "manufacture" the poison in a few seconds. How? Toxin's body oozes poisons and his face, arms, legs and body constantly produce them and cannot be shut off. Toxin realizes that he can never physically touch anyone he loves, so he has decided to kill those who do not understand him. He is very protective of Psyclone. He feels he could have prevented her entering the "program" and knows that if she was driven insane by her new found powers.
