Famine appears as a skeleton wearing black armor and wielding a black sword. His soul-sucking sword also has the ability to drain the life out of the earth, thereby causing famine by killing the crops. The sword also has the ability to make its victims feel the pain of all the hungry throughout the world. While technically the power is a drain and not a transfer, Famine clearly draws strength from causing such pain. Famine rarely talks as the hungry rarely have the strength for conversation. When he does talk it is usually poignant, sharp and short.
