title: My Sister, My Executioner
Earthguard: Star-Scanner, Darkwar
opponents: Visarian war robots
Action: Darkwar and Star-Scanner are investigating three concealed Visarian space stations orbiting inside Mercury. They discover a good reason why the stations were concealed as they were planted by Star-Scanner's sister La-Teg who intends to make the sun go nova. After battling the war robots and destroying the ships, they decide to go to Visar to stop La-Teg before she goes through with her madness.
(Note: Visar was caught in a vicious civil war. When the Royal Palace was stormed, La-Teg was shot and later died in Star-Scanner's arms, or so he thought. La-Teg's death was the rallying cry to spark the Visarians to victory but Star-Scanner was so struck with grief he could no longer stay on Visar and came to Earth.)
ISSUE DOUBLE SIZE 14 (1984) jp
title: Home, Sweet, Home
Earthguard: Star-Scanner, Darkwar, Marvel, Corona, Phase, Captain Marvel Junior Cyclotron
opponents: La-Teg and her Chamberlain, Super-Skrull, Burnout, Slitong the Thurn others: Wartiger, Ran-Darr, Margaret Hammond, Dragonflame
Action: Star-Scanner and Darkwar inform Earthguard(r) of their discovery that La-Teg intends to destroy the Earth and Visar. The members start battle plans while Darkwar tracks down a lead for transportation to Visar.
Darkwar travels to Magneto's Atlantic island base and convinces Magneto to let him borrow his spacecraft (last seen issue #). Magneto agrees but as Darkwar leaves Magneto tells him to protect "his child". Darkwar does not hear this last request.
When Earthguard(r) arrives on Visar, they discover it has moved out of its orbit and is traveling under its own power out of the solar system. Thanks to the technology aboard the spacecraft, the planet is located and an assault on the palace is made. Everyone but Marvel is forced to land short of the palace by the Black Guardsmen and their various war machines. Marvel, separated from the rest of Earthguard(r), scouts the castle, finds the throne room and waits for her team's arrival.
Luckily for Earthguard(r), there is an organized resistance to La-Teg's rule and luckier still it is lead by Dragonflame's clone (last seen issue #A1). He says the rest of the Protectorate clones were overpowered and are held captive by La-Teg. If they can be freed, they will gladly help Star-Scanner against his sister. Star-Scanner thanks Dragonflame but says they do not have the time to lose in looking for the Protectorates. Through the help of Dragonflame, they are transported into the palace. Dragonflame and Wartiger wish the rest of the group success as they go to free the Protectorate clones.
Earthguard(r) finds La-Teg is actually a disguised Skrull with the powers of the Composite Superman. She teleports the fight to four floating disks suspended several hundred yards above the ground. The battle for regency takes place inside the heart of the planet Visar against the Super-Skull, Slitong, Burnout and La-Teg who has the powers of all the Protectorates except White Dwarf. During the fight Marvel knocks out Burnout but cannot save him before he falls to his death. Super-Skrull escapes and La-Teg reveals that Visarians are actually a distant branch of the Kree. Star-Scanner decides to stay on Visar until his father O-Teg is well enough to once again rule. The Protectorate clones decide to stay on Visar and make it their new home.
