Heroes: Antaries, Black Shadow, Sumo
opponents: Samurai Robots, Fist, Clan Leader Yamana, Organization for an Anarchistic Society (OFAS): White Dragon, Typhoon, Kamikaze, Tang-chi Chec

Shielding the plutonium by melting a lead cylinder over it, Superboy halts the chain reaction. Ceci is discovered in the plant as is the Samurai Robot assembly system.

Later in the day both are contacted by Michael Bilis, part of the Governor's entourage to help them in finding Governor Cuomo. After telling Superboy where she is going, Marvel finds expended cartridge shells and other evidence the limousine was forcibly stopped. Little else is found but, on a hunch, she calls Sumo and the two of them investigate the Statue of Liberty. Nothing is found so the two decide to go to dinner.
Near the end of dinner Sumo's attention is directed to the bar where a fight is in process. Sumo helps the bouncer break the fight up and Marvel notices that one of the combatants is Ray Morrison (Marvel mini series #1), a friend and ex business partner.
Ray introduces the two to Nigel Warrington a top British fashion designer. Ray convinces "Carol" to become a model again, quite against her wishes, and she signs a short term contract with Nigel. As "Carol" and Nigel share a drink, Nigel reveals himself that he is her long time nemesis, Jaguar (Marvel Mini series #1). A fight ensues and eventually Jaguar escapes on the roof tops. Ray is taken to the Japanese Embassy for his own safety until Marvel can make certain his apartment is safe.

Others: Angolan, Contra, Nicaraguan, Russian and Afghani troops, Mikhail Vistof
Action: Mercenary enters the private chambers of the Russian Secretary of War and Defense. Before the leader of the Red Guardians can ask why he was summoned, a grim faced general relates the past few days' events.
A large group of Contra rebels storms out of the Nicaraguan jungles and over-runs a military base near Managua. The rebels, lead by a tall slim man, make the most of their surprise attack and extract a 100 to 1 casualty rate from the surprised troops. Fiery remains are all that are left of Angola's left wing leader Azubo Marwibe's base. The General's top aides and many important military advisors were killed in the blast. No one survived the attack to report who the assailant may have been.
The Swedish Prime Minister, Olof Palma, is gunned down on a downtown street. The murderer escapes in a black limousine.
Two large Afghanistan military complexes are destroyed by super powered beings calling themselves Reactor and Demos. Of the 5,200 men on the two bases approximately 4,100 are killed in the attack and 250 billion dollars in equipment is lost. Quickly the two heroes spring into action. A blast renders Rising Sun unconscious as Aji, shifting form, leaps at her attacker. The battle is swift. Rising Sun awakes just in time to see Black Ray put the last killing blast through Aji's chest.
