Action: Athena mentions how slow the progress is regarding the Medusa problem. Highlander makes the comment that it seemed to go faster when Spiderman was around. Specter leaves saying he will find Spiderman and bring him back to Earthguard.

Highlander is at headquarters when Robert Furness enters the building. He introduces himself as an administrative agent for the Central Intelligence Agency and he would like to talk with Fusillade. Highlander becomes immediately defensive but Mr. Furness assures him they have no quarrel with Fusillade. They just want to ask him about the suit's powers. The agent says that whoever is inside the suit stole it from a CIA testing facility. As long as Fusillade is part of Earthguard, they do not intend to try to get the suit back, but they would like to know what the suit does, since it is their property. Highlander says he will pass the message along.

Specter returns to Earthguard but not as he intended. Spiderman says he rescued him from a battle with Apocalypse and Luftwaffe of the Battlesquad and they did a "number" on him. Several hours later, when Specter regains consciousness, he confirms the fight. The villains escaped before the police arrived. Spiderman fought them only long enough to rescue Specter.

Action: Yang spends most of the day entertaining his sister. At the end of the day, he runs the dojo. The Master is due to be released in a few days and except for a great lack of sleep, Jonny is proud he was able to keep most everything running smoothly. During the last class, Jonny notices two policemen watching the dojo. While his is grateful for the added police protection, he knows they are outside waiting for him. He plays a trick on them by walking down to the alley, turning invisible and "pantsing" the two policemen.

Fusillade is patrolling New York when an energy blast rockets past him. He changes course to find Dr. Doom standing on a building top. They talk at a distance for some time where Doom makes it known he has no quarrel with this new Iron-Man. Fusillade mistakes this as an attack and fires an energy blast at the suit of armor. It is a robot that is

blasted apart. Before being destroyed, the robot says, "You have spelled your destruction. You have menaced the sovereign property of Dr. Doom and such an affront cannot be forgiven."

Major Victory visits Olympus International. He visits with Dimitri Konstantine and offers to help support the Medusa research. New York City and the Federal Government are co-sponsors and agree to fund half of all costs up to $2,500,000. the first year.

Action: After the incident with the Dr. Doom robot, Fusillade decides it would be best not to patrol alone for a while. He and Athena come upon a crime scene and are helping the policy when four robots (like the Robocop robot with machine guns that went berserk) attack. They surprise Fusillade but the heroes manage to barely beat the machines. During the combat, Medusa attacks Athena and barely manages to escape. Medusa nearly turns two policemen into stone.

Athena treats the police at Earthguard and manages to crack the first part of the stoning code. She is now able to reverse the stoning process as long as the victim is only partially affected. She immediately starts work on reversing the entire process.

TMH finishes his reports on the Iraqis chemical plants. There is only one plant still operational after UN inspectors dismantled all the others. This plant is hidden as part of an oil facility and hence its ability to escape detection. Earthguard makes a mental note to visit the plant if they are given the opportunity.

Action: Mossad contacts Earthguard to tell them there has been a tour bus captured in Jordan by Islamic Jihad. Mossad would like Earthguard to guard Israel while Mossad attempts a rescue. Earthguard arrives but does not allow the Israeli superteam to go and instead goes themselves.

The battle is one-sided as Earthguard is beaten to every punch. During the fight, the tour bus is blown up and Islamic Jihad escapes. During the fight, Koran continuously talks about the superiority of Islam and mutants.

Back in New York, a report is received that Earthguard attacked an Iraqi oil refinery. TMH relays the information to the team after the battle with Islamic Jihad and they investigate.

Action: Earthguard arrives to see part of the oil refinery on fire. Avoiding guards and fire fighters, the heroes investigate what happened. They eventually discover the apparent reason for the attack, a computer operations room on the far side of the refinery. A close look at the evidence determines the following: this control room has nothing to do with the oil refinery, those who broke into this area did not find what they were looking for, they were probably looking for evidence of chemical gas manufacture and those looking were probably Force of July. It is assumed Force of July started the fires to detract from the reason they really came to the plant and they are long gone from the site.

Action: Earthguard catches up to the Assassin Squad as they are about to board their airplane. They are carrying a large box of computer tapes. A fight breaks out over the box and Earthguard gets the upper hand. Seizing victory, Earthguard takes the box and escapes into the desert and their own plane. They fly back to Israel, noticing their plane has been tampered with. Mossad is unable to repair the plane but a call to Captain Britain locates the necessary parts.

Before leaving Israel, Earthguard gets up to date regarding the various teams they have fought Mossad is very helpful but in the end, Earthguard is no closer to putting the pieces together then when they started months earlier.

They land at a private airfield and while their airplane is being repaired, Captain Britain offers them the opportunity to help him with a small project he has been working on.
