Altered States

Scientists are generally optimists.  Sometimes they are crazy.  And sometimes they are evil.  One such scientist convinced the government to fund his genetic mutation experiments.  Too impatient to wait for the screening process for find proper candidates, our scientist forged the psychological tests for three people.  After the experimentation gave them enormous powers, the three went fittingly insane.

Toxin is the leader of the group as he has had some combat training.  Mist is in love with Toxin.  She finds him strong and powerful, although she feels sad that they will never be able to consummate her love for him.  Toxin feels partially responsible for Mist and Psyclone's situation.  He is especially concerned and protective of Psyclone as she has only the barest thread left to reality.  Psyclone has retreated to the comfort of religion and spends her waking hours trying to convert the wicked that surround her.  The three form a kind-of love triangle, Mist loves Toxin, Toxin loves Psyclone and Psyclone loves god.

Because of Psyclone's mental makeup, the group spends their time hunting out the most wicked in society, drug dealers, murders, rapists, atheists, etc.  They then try to convert them to Catholicism and usually murder those who do not accept Jesus.  Many of their conversion tactics resemble those used by the Spanish Inquisition, except the tortured and dead are left as a sign for all to see.
