Easter Egg Candies

1 LB confectioner's sugar
2 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp light corn syrup
1 Tbsp butter; softened
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp almond extract
1 pn Cream of Tartar
1 1/3 cup flaked coconut

Chocolate coating:
8 squares semi-sweet chocolate

1. Combine sugar, water, corn syrup, butter and vanilla.
2. Add the salt, almond extract and cream of tartar. This mixture will be  crumbly.
3. Add the coconut.
4. Shape into eggs (whatever size you want).
5. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.
6. Cool a little
7. Then frost the Easter eggs.
