Barbecued Spareribs

5 lbs. spareribs, cut into 2-rib portions
3 drops hot pepper sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. celery seeds
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1 small onion, chopped

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Place ribs on rack in shallow pan and bake 20 minutes, turn and brown  other side for 15
    minutes.
3. Place ribs in crockpot.
4. Combine ketchup, pepper sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, salt, celery seeds  and onion in
    small bowl.
5. Pour over ribs.
6. Turn to evenly coat.
7. Cover and cook on Low about 6-7 hours or until ribs are tender.
