BBQ PORK SPARE RIBS

3 lbs pork spareribs
1 can beer
Water, to cover
6 peppercorns
2 onions, (1 chopped, 1 halved)

1. Chop 1 onion.
2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
3. Parboil ribs by placing in a large pot filled with beer and water.
4. Add onion halfs and peppercorns.
5. Bring to a boil.
6. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
7. Remove from heat.

 Sauce
1 tbsp oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup ketchup
1 tbsp molasses or brown sugar
1 lemon
Worcestershire sauce
Pepper
Tabasco sauce, to taste

1. In medium sized saucepan heat oil, chopped onion, and garlic.
2. Cook until onions become translucent.
3. Add vinegar, ketchup, molasses, lemon juice and a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
4. Season with pepper and Tabasco sauce.
5. Bring to a simmer.
6. Remove ribs from pot.
7. Brush on sauce.
8. Place in roasting pan.
9. Roast in oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
