Julia Child's Special Spice Blend

2 teaspoons freshly ground white pepper
1 teaspoon ground bay leaves
1 teaspoon clove
1 teaspoon mace
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon savory

1. Mix well in a bowl and store in a screwtop glass jar.
2. Use this to rub meat such as pork.

Use:
1. Mix 1 part of the spice blend with 1 part dried mustard
2. Rub on boneless pork chops.
3. Let stand 15 minutes.
4. Grill. (3 minutes on a preheated Foreman electric grill.)
Yield: "3 1/3 tablespoons"
